The Victor Valley College softball team put together a powerhouse performance on Tuesday afternoon, run‑ruling Porterville in both games of a commanding home doubleheader sweep. Behind explosive offense, airtight pitching, and disciplined execution, the Rams took Game 1 by a 9–1 score before unleashing a 16–2 offensive eruption in Game 2.
GAME 1 — Rams Control Every Inning in 9–1 Win
VVC struck quickly, plating two runs in the first inning and setting the tone for a wire‑to‑wire victory. The Rams finished with seven hits, seven RBI, and zero errors, showing clean and composed softball on both sides of the ball.
Offensive Leaders
- Hope Merrill powered the early surge, going 1‑for‑3 with a double and driving in three RBI.
- Jade Whitman added an RBI single and reached base twice, also contributing defensively with five putouts behind the plate.
