The Victor Valley College Rams women's basketball team launched their season with a thrilling victory over Merritt, powered by relentless defense, dominant rebounding, and standout individual performances. The Rams, playing in front of their home crowd, set the tone for the season with a gritty, team-first effort.
First Half: Setting the Standard
From the opening tip, the Rams established their identity—crashing the boards, hustling for loose balls, and sharing the basketball. VVC's defense forced turnovers and limited Merritt's scoring, while the offense found its rhythm through aggressive drives and second-chance opportunities.

- Mya Graham-Scott (#3) led all scorers with an impressive 22 points, shooting 9-18 from the field and 3-6 from beyond the arc. She also contributed 3 rebounds and a team-high 4 steals, sparking the Rams on both ends.
