Rams Women's Basketball Looks to Defend Co-Championship
The Victor Valley College Women's Basketball team is gearing up for the 2024-25 season with high hopes and expectations. After a successful Co-Championship season in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference last year, head coach Troy Hall is looking to lead his team to their third IEAC conference championship in four years.
Key returners for the Rams this season include guards Aspyn Roberson and Karoline Ellison, as well as forward/center Natalie Galaviz. These experienced players will provide leadership and skill on the court.
In addition to the returning players, Coach Hall is excited about the new recruits joining the team this year. Players like Kayleen Vasquez, Myla Gibson, Atila Thomas, Breanna Bates, and Belinda Rincon bring talent and depth to the roster.
One aspect of the team that Coach Hall is particularly excited about is their shooting ability. With multiple players who can shoot well from beyond the arc, the Rams are looking to improve their three-point shooting, an area where they struggled last season.
The team's goals for the season are clear - make the playoffs and compete for a spot in the state championship. With a talented roster and high aspirations, the Rams are ready to hit the court and showcase their skills.
Coach Hall believes that this year's team is special and has the potential to accomplish great things. With a mix of returning players and new recruits, the Victor Valley College Women's Basketball team is poised for success in the upcoming season. Fans can expect an exciting and competitive season as the Rams chase their goals and strive for excellence on the court.
The Rams kickoff the season with a scrimmage game against Barstow College on Thursday, October 24th. The first regular season game is at the Mt San Antonio College Tournament on Friday, November 1st.
