Rams Take Both Games in Road Sweep of San Bernardino Valley
The Victor Valley College Softball team picked up a strong road sweep on Friday afternoon, defeating San Bernardino Valley in both games of a doubleheader. The Rams claimed a 4–1 victory in Game 1 before closing the day with a 9–7 win in Game 2, showcasing timely hitting, steady pitching, and balanced contributions across the lineup.
Game 1 Recap — VVC 4, SBVC 1
Victor Valley relied on efficient offense and controlled pitching to open the doubleheader with a four‑run performance. The Rams finished with 9 hits and scored in key moments to build and protect their lead.
Offensive Highlights (VVC Only)
- Jade Whitman delivered the biggest swing of the game, going 1‑for‑3 with 2 RBI, driving in half of the Rams' runs.
- Makyla Ortiz added a hit and an RBI, while also scoring a run.
- Hope Merrill reached base and scored once, helping set the table offensively.
