Victor Aguirre was named Head Coach of the Victor Valley College Men’s Soccer program in 2026, bringing a proven track record of success as both a player and coach at the high school, collegiate, and club levels.

A graduate of Oak Hills High School, Aguirre earned Mojave River League (MRL) Most Valuable Player honors in 2015 before beginning his collegiate playing career. He spent the 2015 season competing with Arsenal FC’s U.S. Development Academy while attending Chaffey College during a gap year. In 2016, he transferred to Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC), where he helped lead the Mounties to a dominant 22-1-2 season, capturing both the South Coast Conference Championship and the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) State Championship. Mt. SAC finished the year ranked No. 1 in the final state polls and No. 2 nationally.

Following his success at Mt. SAC, Aguirre earned a scholarship to California Baptist University (CBU). He was a member of the 2017 CBU squad that finished with an outstanding 17-1-2 overall record and an undefeated 11-0-2 mark in the PacWest Conference, capturing the conference championship. The Lancers were nationally ranked throughout the season, peaking at No. 2 in the United States Coaches NCAA Division II poll and reaching as high as No. 10 nationally in September. The Lancers advanced to the NCAA Division II West Regional Final, capping one of the most successful seasons in program history. Aguirre concluded his playing career as team captain in 2019 during California Baptist’s second year of its NCAA Division I transition and inaugural season competing in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).

Aguirre’s coaching career has included successful stops across NCAA Division II and NCAA Division I pathways. He served as First Assistant Coach at Azusa Pacific University, competing in the NCAA Division II PacWest Conference, before joining the coaching staff at California State University, San Bernardino, where he coached in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), one of the nation’s top NCAA Division II soccer conferences. From 2022–2024, Aguirre served as FCA Soccer Club Director, a sports ministry organization, where he founded and built the program into one of the High Desert’s top youth clubs, growing it to 16 competitive teams and establishing a developmental pathway for local players aspiring to compete at the collegiate level while strengthening their faith through the values and mission of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Most recently, Aguirre returned to his alma mater as Head Coach at Oak Hills High School, where he quickly transformed the Bulldogs into one of Southern California’s top programs. Over two seasons, he compiled an outstanding 42-5-4 overall record while leading Oak Hills to back-to-back Mojave River League championships, a CIF Southern Section Division 1 Quarterfinal appearance, and the program’s first-ever No. 1 overall seed in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs.

Aguirre earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from California Baptist University in 2019 and is a proud first-generation college graduate.
