History Made: VVC Men’s Golf Earns Program’s First Team Win

The Victor Valley College Men's Golf team made history on Tuesday, capturing the first team win in program history at the Cuyamaca Invitational. The Rams delivered a dominant performance from top to bottom, finishing +15 as a team and outpacing the rest of the field to secure a milestone victory for the program.

This breakthrough moment highlights the rapid development of VVC's golf team and officially establishes the Rams as a rising force in conference play.

Event Recap

Victor Valley set the tone early, placing four golfers inside the top six and showcasing unmatched depth across the lineup. Leading the charge was Cory Rose, who fired a brilliant 71 (E) to claim 1st place overall and earn medalist honors. His steady play throughout the round anchored the team's historic performance.

VVC continued to populate the top of the leaderboard:

Brady Fonville recorded a strong 75 (+4) to finish in 4th place.
Brady McColm followed closely with a 76 (+5), securing 5th place.
Joshua Pierce added another impressive score, carding 77 (+6) for a 6th‑place finish.
Sullivan Kilkenny rounded out the Rams' team scoring with an 83 (+12), keeping VVC firmly in the lead.

With all five scoring golfers finishing inside the top third of the field, the Rams delivered the most complete team effort of the tournament.
