William Funn will be in his first season as assistant men's basketball coach for the Rams. Coach Funn began his collegiate playing career at San Bernardino Valley College in 2001, where he played as a point guard. In his sophomore season, he helped lead SBVC to a conference championship, leading the league in assists and steals and earning All-Conference Honors. He then earned a scholarship to play basketball at Portland State University, where he led the NCAA Division 1 in assists and helped his team win the Big Sky Conference Championship in 2005.

Funn played professionally overseas from 2005-2015, competing in countries such as England, Mexico, Canada, Ukraine, Romania, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Ecuador. In 2016, he became the boys’ varsity head coach for San Bernardino's Pacific Pirates, leading them to their first league championship since 1999 and achieving a 78-32 record over his first four seasons. Coach Funn is deeply passionate about the game of basketball is excited to bring his basketball knowledge and experience to Victor Valley Community College.

Coach Funn is married to his wife Ariana. They have 3 children Nalani, Yuri, and Enoch.
