Rams Dominate LA Valley in Historic 79-29 Victory at Home

Victor Valley College's football team delivered a resounding statement on October 18th, 2025, dismantling LA Valley 79-29 at Rams Football Stadium in Victorville. The 79 points a school record for points in a game in the program's history. Ranked 22nd in the state and now 6-1 on the season, the Rams are firmly in control of the America Metro Conference title race as they prepare for their next challenge on the road against College of the Desert on October 25th.
From the opening whistle, the Rams imposed their will. Quarterback Seth Burbine led the aerial assault, completing 15 of 24 passes for 235 yards and three touchdowns, including a 74-yard bomb to Cael Meisman. Dual-threat QB Tremel Echols added 161 passing yards and 52 rushing yards with three rushing touchdowns, showcasing his versatility.
The ground game was relentless. Jayon Gillett powered through with 79 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries, while Carlos Amplayo broke loose for 67 yards and a score on just four attempts. Shaylon Young, Maximus Jenkins, and Tremel Echols each added rushing touchdowns, contributing to the Rams' 359 rushing yards and 8.2 yards per carry average.
The receiving corps was equally explosive. Brandon Solaita led with six catches for 71 yards, while Carlos Amplayo and Cael Meisman each hauled in touchdowns. Ricky Sampson, Jalaun Miller, and Don Henry added key receptions to keep the chains moving.
Special teams were anchored by Angel Montero Sanchez, who was nearly perfect, converting 10 of 11 extra points and drilling a 30-yard field goal. He also handled kickoff duties, averaging 54.3 yards over 10 kicks.
Defensively, the Rams were aggressive and opportunistic. Charles King recorded a sack, while Shane Young and Zaire Stebbins each snagged interceptions. Elias Copeland, Percy Davis, and Carlos Amplayo broke up passes, and Khoury Davis added a tackle for loss.
Victor Valley outgained LA Valley 755 to 339 in total offense, racking up 27 first downs and averaging 9.3 yards per play. The Rams scored in every quarter, including a 24-point second and a 21-point fourth, never allowing LA Valley to gain momentum.
With this dominant performance, the Rams have solidified their position as a top contender in the state and the America Metro Conference. All eyes now turn to their October 25th matchup at College of the Desert, where they'll look to continue their march toward a conference championship.
