Rams Football Opens Season with Statement Win Over Glendale

The defending Metro Conference champions, Victor Valley College (VVC) Football, began their 2025 campaign with a commanding 31-17 road victory over Glendale on Saturday, August 30. The Rams showcased their championship pedigree with a balanced offensive attack and a relentless defensive front, setting the tone for what promises to be another exciting season.
Game Recap
After a slow start, VVC found its rhythm and never looked back. Quarterback Seth Burbine led the offense with precision, completing 27 of 40 passes for 257 yards and two touchdowns, including a long of 29 yards. The Rams racked up 475 total yards of offense, dominating time of possession (31:47) and converting 50% of their third downs.
On the ground, the trio of Teshawn Cleveland, Jayon Gillett, and Carlos Amplayo combined for 205 rushing yards, with Cleveland scoring a touchdown and averaging an impressive 6.9 yards per carry.

Atlas Bailey snagged an interception and returned it for three yards, and Elliott Norrignton broke up a pass to stall a Glendale drive.
