2021 Football Season Comes to an End

Victor Valley College Rams fought hard as their season came to an end on Saturday night, falling to College of the Desert Roadrunners, 33-50.

The Rams came out strong scoring first as freshman quarterback KC Moore had a 74 yard pass to freshman wide receiver Alex Gonzalez, to lead the Roadrunners 7-0. The Rams led COD in return yards with a total of 205 yards, but the Roadrunner offense proved too much to overcome, with College of the Desert scoring 21 points in the second quarter and carrying a 34-20 lead into the half.

The two teams battled back and forth until the very end of the game with the Rams defense holding the Roadrunners to a scoreless 4th quarter.

Freshman running back Kenyard Edwards Jr. had another great game with 20 carries for 90 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns including a 90 yard kickoff return for a touchdown. 

Gonzalez played strong from the Rams with 2 catches for 82 yards and touchdown. 

Sophomore linebacker Jordan Payne was formidable with 9 total tackles and 2 sacks.
